About the Author J.K. Rowling was a struggling single mother when she wrote the beginnings of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on scraps of paper at a local cafe. Harry was a baby when his parents were killed, so he didn't know them. He was rescued by a wizard giant name Hagrid. Harry lived with his only realtives which were the Dursleys. The dursley's hated Harry. The Dursley's also had a son name Dudley. The Dursley's never told Harry that he was a wizard. Until the fourth chapter the wizard giant came too save Harry from the Dursleys. Harry made some friends and was famous because he had a scare on his forehead because LOrd Voldermort had cursed him but just couldn't kill him. Harry's friends were Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The three of them were best friends foreever. And Harry's enemies was Draco Malfoy. Malfoy always got Harry into trouble even though that Harry didn't do it. Harry's other friend was Neville Longbottom. But Hary hardly spend time wqith Neville because Nevieele was always scared of everything. Read this book and you'll find out. All Harry knoows is his miserable life with the durseys, his horible aunt and uncle, and there abominableson, Dudley. Harry's room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he has never had a birthday party in 11 years. But all that is about to change when a mysterius letter arrives by owl messanger; a letter with an invatation to a woonderful place, he never dreamed existed.
